These lovely Ankara bows come in colorful African print fabric and would make a perfect gift for a baby, toddler, or young girl or boy! 

Headband - The bow is attached to a nylon headband that is stretchy and super soft on babies' delicate skin. The quality nylon headband is one size fits all and retracts back into shape after being stretched.

  Due to the vibrant pattern of each Ankara fabric, no two items will be exactly alike. This is due to pattern placement when creating your piece. The item you receive may have the pattern in a different position to the one pictured. These are truly one of a kind.

   

• Orders take between 3-5 business days to process and will be mailed upon completion. You will receive a notification once your package has shipped. Please allow at least 5 business days to pass to receive your package after you have been notified of shipment.
  
  

• Hand wash or spot clean cold, lay flat to dry. If ironing is desired, use a towel between the iron and African print.
  
  As with most fabrics that are 100% cotton there will be a very small percentage of shrinkage in the length, but this is minimal.

This year, we're going to do a little something different and honor and uplift Black history in the making - presently and for our future. One of those remarkable individuals is artist Hadiya Williams, creator and founder of Black Pepper Paperie Co (BPP) @blackpepperpaperieco . This year I am pleased and honored to announce a joint collaboration between Black Pepper Paperie and The Rooted Baby Co! 

With over 15 years experience in graphic design, Hadiya founded Black Pepper Paperie Co. in 2017 and has since expanded her art + design practice to include ceramic objects, surface design, and visual art. Her work is inspired by the relationship between history, cultural memory, migration, and ritual. Hadiya states, 'The lineal artwork of Black Pepper Paperie Co. is inspired by the relationship between Black people, history, memory, ritual, and culture across the diaspora.'  BPP's core values and the mission of Rooted Baby Co's inspiration from history, respecting culture, and to educate are the perfect match to be utilized for the littlest members of our future generation.

Made with the same super soft and lightweight material as our staple swaddles, these are elevated with custom designs from Hadiya. After months of planning and work behind the scenes, I could not be more ecstatic with how this collaboration came to fruition!
